Basic Breathing and Relaxation Techniques workshop:
Target customers: Adults ages 16 +
This eight-week session will include a different type of relaxation or meditation technique each week. Each 45-minute class will focus on presenting a new technique, getting practice with it and taking home work to build each class member’s practice.  Learning how to breathe correctly can reduce stress, improve health and help you learn to refocus your energy. All techniques include handouts so at the end of the class, each participant has built a notebook to refer to and practice at home. Wear comfortable clothing.

Girl’s night out relaxation workshop:  
Target customers: Women who need a 2-hour vacation!  
Get a bunch of girlfriends together and learn how to relax in a natural, healing way.  Learn simple “woman-oriented” relaxation techniques to help you relax in as little as 30 seconds for those days when you’re too crazy to breathe right! All techniques include handouts so at the end of the class, each participant has a notebook to refer to and practice at home. Wear comfortable clothing.

Mom’s Healing workshop
Women intuitively heal their families by kissing boo-boos, rubbing tummies and patting heads.  Did you know that there are many ancient techniques behind these instinctive “mommy moves”? Come learn the natural healing that moms have known for millennia and learn a few more that will help when your family is feeling down. Meditation for Moms
Successfully navigating parenthood at any stage is always challenging.  Taking time for yourself and clearing
your mind to reconnect with yourself is essential to calm, peaceful parenting.  Not that things will ever be chaos free – no such luck! But how we perceive things, changing the way we look at it and incorporating some simple changes into our day can help us enjoy the non-stop whirlwind that is parenthood in the 21st century.  6-week sessions are 80.00 per person. Drop in sessions are $20.00.  7:30 – 8:30 on Thursdays at Bodypoint Acupuncture in Gurnee. You must call to register first. 847/309-6089

Mommy/Daughter Stress Management
Women of all ages have to deal with multiple stressors. This workshop is for both of you to have some fun time together, learn some relaxation strategies and help each other keep up this healthy practice once you’re at home. Wear comfortable clothing.Daughters 10 +.

Introduction to Stress Management Techniques for Kids
This one hour workshop covers fun ways for kids to learn to relax and focus when they are feeling antsy or agitated. It's never too early to learn this important part of a healthy lifestyle.  Can be done as a small group of moms and kids or scout troops or dens.  

Family Workshop:  
Target customers: Families with children 6 +  
Our kids aren’t learning how to relax.  As families, we go, go, go all the time and don’t have a lot of time to pass down meditation, prayer, relaxation and focusing traditions.  This workshop would be geared to teaching families to relax together. Meditations with a kid-oriented focus, a family focus and gentle relaxation techniques will be taught.  This can be one afternoon, one evening or several sessions on consecutive weeks. A once a month workshop option could also be available. All techniques include handouts so at the end of the class, each participant has built a notebook to refer to and practice at home. Wear comfortable clothing. 

Staff Development:
Teachers and church employees face unique challenges in their work environment. The energy required to work with large numbers of people of all ages can sap energy and derail motivation on the best days.  Learning how to juggle stress, life balance and health issues can re-energize and refocus your staff/faculty so they find the joy in their environment daily. 

The "Work" shop
Geared to your specific work environment, learn how to fit stress management into your workspace. Includes group techniques, quick fixes and breathing strategies to get your employees healthier and more aware of the role stress management plays in their health, company success and on the job satisfaction.  Can be as short as 1 hour or as long as 6 hours – customized to your needs. Guided meditations, visualizations, breathing techniques and life balance information included.
